….as Emma stood tall and radiant in the back of the church, arm in arm with her Dad. With her wide smile, gorgeous gown and cathedral veil, Emma took a deep breath and fixed her eyes upon Michael. He beamed back at Emma and single tear rolled down his cheek.
The entire church seemed to draw in a collective breath as they watched Emma gracefully glide down the aisle to take her vows and begin her new chapter as wife. I too, held my breath, steadied my camera and began to document their ceremony as I observed discretely.
At that moment I understood why it's my passion and life's work to photograph weddings. I realized that I’m not just taking wedding photos, but rather documenting a couple's legacy in real time.
