Meet Danielle
I'm Danielle Maggio, owner and principal wedding photographer at Danielle Maggio Photography based in Dallas, TX.
I’m a wife, mother of two beautiful sons, world traveler and lover of people, nature, good stories and a great cup of coffee. I’ve lived on three continents and have traveled to all but one. Antarctica is still on my bucket list!
I'm classically trained with an education in fine art photography from MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) in Baltimore, MD. I shot my first wedding in 2009, and even after 14 years, I still swoon at weddings and am drawn to all the beauty, emotion and detail.
I know how important the decision to hire a professional wedding photographer is; one that discerning couples don’t take lightly.
When we got married, my husband and I hired a team of photojournalists to document our day. We knew they could capture authentic candid images better than any other photographers we interviewed.
And while our candid photographs were amazing, I wish I had more formal portraits of my friends and family and detail shots from my wedding day.
Many people I love have since passed from this world and I wish I had more formal images of them (and us together) at my wedding.
We have no professional detail photographs of my bouquet, boutonnieres, shoes, lace on my veil, etc. from our wedding day.
So, as a wedding photographer myself I am mindful of every detail - from the flowers on your tables to the crystals on your shoes.
I blend my skills in photojournalistic and editorial photography to produce stunning and classically elegant imagery of the candid moments, naturally posed portraits and all the beautiful details in between.
I believe that photographs memorialize the past. When a bride looks at my images, I want her to relive her day over and over.

Believe it or not, I have wedding, engagement & family photographs of my great, great grandparents on both sides of my family.
What a beautiful legacy my grandmothers left for me in preserving those memories in printed photographs.
I’m forever grateful for the images and feel a stronger connection to my family because of them. I hope your children and grandchildren will look at your wedding and family and feel the same way. I can't wait to tell your love story through my lens!

A Few Highlights...
I attended MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) for fine art photography and mastered processing and developing both film and digital images.
I moved to Asia in 2010 and photographed weddings, portraits and editorial assignments from Malaysia to the Maldives. Most of my time was spent documenting local lifestyle and culture.
I photographed many local and some national political celebs during my time in Baltimore, MD working for non-profit organizations and freelance editorial assignments.
Not only do I photograph weddings, but I also photograph beautiful families in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I love nothing more than documenting the lives of my clients long after their weddings.
